Marina Krim welcomes the birth of her new son Felix Harrison Krim.

Marina Krim and her husband Kevin yesterday went on to welcome the birth of their new son, Felix Harrison Krim. The birth comes after the couple savagely went on to lose two of their three children last year to a horrific murder purportedly at the hands of the family nanny, 50 year old Yoselyn Ortega.

Went on to read a post on a Facebook page, set up for the grieving family last year, the Leo and Lulu fund page: ‘From Marina and Kevin Krim –

‘We are very excited to share with you that Felix Harrison Krim, all 8 pounds, 10 ounces, and 21.5 inches of him, arrived today. Marina, Felix and all of us are healthy and happy.

‘Thank you all so much for your support!’

The page had gone up late last year as well wishers sought to commiserate the loss of the couple’s two year old son, Leo and his six year old daughter, Lulu, both who were horrifically killed at the family’s Manhattan home.

A third child, a middle child, Nessie, went on to be spared only because at the time, the four year old Nessie Krim happened to be in the company of her mother, Marina Krim whilst the other two children were in the company of the family nanny.

The murder of the Krim children at the time went on to horrify the nation and went on to cause furious debate as to what precipitated the nanny, Yoselyn Ortega to purportedly take such violent action. Many went on to suggest and wonder if the nanny had been mistreated by the family or underpaid or simply neglected. Some even went on to postulate on the socio economic tensions of the haves who are in the position to afford a nanny in a well to do abode versus the have nots who struggle for economic sanctuary.

Nevertheless there were many who went on to support the Krim family and argue the nanny was a malevolent individual who simply resented her lot in life and was ungrateful and unappreciative of Marina Krim’s overtures to now offer her cleaning assignments so as to further subsidize her income.

That said, it was clear that the children never ought to have been killed and the double murders bought out waves of national sympathy and support as Marina Krim and Kevin attempted to live through the unimaginable and horrific.

With the birth of their new son, one hopes that fate and faith have come back to the Krim’s life as the Krims are once again offered the opportunity to embrace a new child in their lives, notwithstanding the horrific and unjust loss of Leo and Lulu Krim.

Such is life, may Felix Harrison Krim draw you Marina and Kevin Krim strength and resolve to go forward and to stand tall in the adversity of affliction and the uncertainty and horror that sometimes befalls mortals.

At present Yoselyn Ortega has been deemed fit to stand trial for the double murder of the Krim children. She has to date pleaded not guilty to the charges after having attempted to take her own life at the time of the murders only to be saved by Marina Krim. How ironic and brutal life is…
