German Olympic cyclists tweet freakish pictures of their thighs. So that’s why they win….

German sprint cyclist Robert Forstemann has released images of his thighs and judging by the above picture one can only imagine the amount of dedication he puts into winning a gold medal, never mind the speeds he can travel.

What though is even more freakish is how much larger Forstemann’s thighs are in relation to team mate Andre Greipel, whose thighs just pale in comparison.

Interestingly Forstemann who was part of the UCI Track Cycling world champion side which won the team sprint for the Germans has been omitted from the sprint team for the London Olympic Games. Maybe the German coach may want to have another think about that….

Anyone for skinny jeans? Maybe not….

Forstemann's thighs make his compatriot's impressively large legs look small
