Learning how to act like a celebrity. Shame in England.
There used to be a time in the universe where being a public figure carried some degree of prestige and pride but, to be frank, we don’t think we were alive when that was all going on. In keeping with the latest fad of misbehaving as a public figure, we introduce you to the recently debunked Miss England: Rachel Christie.
Reports the Sydney Morning Herald-
Christie got into a dust-up with another beauty queen, Miss Manchester Sara Beverley Jones, in a nightclub last week.
Greater Manchester Police said that a 21-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault. She was released on bail pending further inquiries.
Media reports said Christie punched Jones several times in the face during an “adult” theme costume night at the club.
In the end, the whole thing is likely to blow over and Christie, who happens to be a heptathlete, has now resigned herself to training for the 2012 Olympics. Of course, given the current disarray in public affairs we wouldn’t be surprised if Rachel ends up with her very own reality show (or worse: talk show), but then again we all know nothing sells more than seeing a pair of beautiful women roughing each other up in a bar.
Let’s hope we can get Miss Universe to give a sucker punch sometime in the future – cause nothing sells more than beauty going all hay wire…Smh.com.au
