Here’s something making the rounds this afternoon, a letter courtesy of one politician, Oregon State Rep. Dennis Richardson who opined (no kidding) in the below letter that the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary school massacre could have been spared had one of the school teachers been simply allowed to carry a concealed weapon that way they could have simply run in from where ever they were in the school, confront Adam Lanza and naturally shoot his bad ass dead.

The Sandy Hook shootings are another heart breaking failure of school personnel to ensure the protection of innocent children and adults. Sadly, most of the deaths could have been prevented.

If I had been a teacher or the principal at the Sandy Hook Elementary School and if the school district did not preclude me from having access to a firearm, either by concealed carry or locked in my desk, most of the murdered children would still be alive, and the gunman would still be dead, and not by suicide.

When will our school officials open their eyes to the reality that law enforcement officers, in such instances as these, can respond only after the unfettered killings have occurred, and that our children’s safety depends on having a number of well-trained school employees on every campus who are prepared to defend our children and save their lives?

Absurd assessment of a logical statement. “Idiotic belief”? Are you serious? This should be common sense. Give people the legal RIGHT to defend themselves and they WILL. It’s that simple.

ask yourself why do these cowards target schools,churches malls,movie theatres and other gun free zones,they do not want to run into armed resistance,the moment they do encounter resistance they kill themselves,shoud you protect yourself or someone who is 10 minutes or further away protect you.if you think the latter shoud you have flawed thinking and will end up dead.

Teachers in Israel are trained to use and carry firearms to prevent such massacre’s. Law enforcement in this country also understands this reality:
“Guns are already banned in schools. That is why the shootings happen in schools. A school is a helpless-victim zone” — Richard Mack, a former Arizona sheriff
“Preventing any adult at a school from having access to a firearm eliminates any chance the killer can be stopped in time to prevent a rampage” — Jim Kouri, the public information officer of the National Association of Chiefs of Police
Gun control only prevents law abiding citizens from protecting themselves, their loved ones, and their property, it will not prevent criminals from doing terrible things.
