New revelations are now coming to light with respect to anonymous emails Paula Broadwell had sent to her perceived rival, Florida socialite Jill Kelley.
According to the nydailynews, it is now being revealed that Broadwell promised to make Kelley go away as well as of her boasting of friends in high places. The revelations come courtesy of a close friend of Jill Kelley’s who intimated that the emails were far more sinister than actually reported and were the ‘rantings of someone clearly unhinged.’
nydailynews: “This wasn’t just a catfight. Any normal person who got emails like that would have immediately called the police,” said the friend.
She said Kelley read her the emails when she called, panic-stricken and seeking advice in the days before the scandal became a stunning public spectacle and led to Petraeus’ resignation as CIA director.
The friend, who did not want to be identified, said Kelley saw the emails as death threats, specifically one in which Broadwell vowed to “make you go away.”
What though is interesting about the latest revelations is the timing of Jill Kelley’s purported regarding of the emails that she had received via Broadwell. When news first broke out about the emails, Jill Kelley had never made it a point of declaring how ‘sinister’ the emails were and how they had her fearing for her life. But with her star diminishing in the public eye it may be all be a ploy by Kelley to assert herself as the violated innocent concubine of social grace that was just minding her own business.
Continues the source: “This wasn’t just a case of cyber-bullying,” the friend said. “(Kelley) was scared for her life. She had reason to be. These emails are the real thing. When she read them to me, I literally had the shivers.
“She told me she was afraid for her life. She was scared,” the friend added.
The source also goes on to add that “there was no hanky-panky going on between Kelley, a married mother of three, and General John Allen, who is also married.”
In the end one can only wonder if the source is a clever device (read pr sounding board) in which Jill Kelley gets to air her grievances and re assert her claim in the face of disparaging revelations that she is the real victim in the David Petraeus scandal. Something that may serve her all too well as she and now her twin sister, Natalie Khawam lawyer up and go about the dismal task of resurrecting their sullied social status…
