Veronica F. Gordon a 39 year old Florida woman has been arrested after observed tossing kittens out of her moving car whilst driving down alongside Highway 87.
The woman’s arrest came after witnesses spotted the woman throwing out as many as four cats, one after the other through the front windows of the woman’s black Infinity SUV in Navarre.
The kittens according to a report via Northwest Florida Daily News were thrown from both the passenger and driver side of the SUV.
Upon her arrest, Gordon confessed to the deed, crying as she was charged with felony animal cruelty.
Only one out of the four cats would be recovered with the kittens believed to be circa seven weeks old.
The recovered kitten, said to be in a very poor condition was taken to a vet where its present condition remains unknown.
It is thought given the size and age of the kittens, the three missing kittens are unlikely to be found alive.
Gordon is being held on a $5,000 bond.
If convicted, she could be fined up to $10,000 and be imprisoned for up to five years.
At present it is not necessarily understood why the woman chose to callously throw the cats out of the moving vehicle and not have sought refuge for them….
