What was disconcerting to hear though was the degree of corruption and unfulfilled pledges earmarked to the nation of Haiti and the inherent challenges of tending to a country imbued with geopolitical tensions and the travesties of a richter grade 8 earthquake which had taken down a large vestige of the country in early 2010. One hopes with the continued efforts of HAVA and entities like Society’s Choice and the Professional networking group there to provide a continuing forum that some headway is wrought with some of the calamity that many of us could barely ever imagine.
To be sure it was a lovely evening and as this scoundrel was finally making his way, he turned to catch the vivacious visage of a young madame in tow very busily captivating her many admirers, the enchanted paparazzi and the buoyant sense of invincibility in her mind, but one thinks Dr Shireen Fernandez wouldn’t have it any other way….
