Kids lets be honest who doesn’t like yachts? Large lofty yachts with 2 jaccuzi’s, a gangly collective of attractive ship’s mates, the odd extendable sofa, the buckets of pink zinfandel and the barrage of gregarious types dousing their joy for America’s independence day with constant ooh’s and ahh’s every time another fire cracker screams ‘hallelujah- I’m a hawt bitch!’ This in brief describes last night’s sublime commotion (hmm- can commotions ever be sublime? – well if I you drink enough…) when I was fortunate enough to be invited as a guest to Dr Shireen Fernandez (herself a hawt bitch) and her delightful partner Alex Harris (who I’m betting will one day be Webster Dictionary’s preferred choice of image for hospital host) of Society’s choice and that of Maggie and Hubert Delany‘s ‘Entrepreneurs and Professional network‘s private soiree.
From the beginning I had to keep up with all the names, the quiet bobbing of the yacht (yes- despite my resolve for life even I dread getting sea sick-blah!) and the clinking of plastic cups goblets as guests wafted in anticipation of the firecracker ensemble that Macy’s 4th of July celebrations had in store for us.
