A report has told of alleged Charlie Kirk assassin, Tyler Robinson purportedly confessing ‘it was me’ to an online chat group before turning himself in.
‘Hey guys, I have bad news for you all,’ Robinson, 22, allegedly wrote in a message on Discord, The Washington Post reports.

The suspected gunman was arrested late Thursday night and is being held in a Utah jail on suspicion of aggravated murder.
He’ll appear before a court on Tuesday and will likely face capital murder charges that could see him executed by a firing squad.
Robinson allegedly sent his confession to a small group of close friends on the private messaging app Thursday night, before turning himself over to police.
Discord is understood to be cooperating with the FBI and local authorities on their investigation and has provided details about his online presence with investigators.
The platform previously revealed that an internal investigation ‘no evidence that the suspect planned this incident or promoted violence on Discord.’
The revelation comes as the suspect shooter has in latest reports has refused to cooperate with authorities and is said to have not admitted to any involvement in the conservative influencer’s assassination.
It is alleged that Robinson carried a hatred for Kirk and ascribed to a ‘leftist ideology’ that had grown in recent years.
He lived with a transgender partner who has not been linked to the killing and who is cooperating with police.
Robinson’s family and friends said he spent large amounts of time scrolling the ‘dark corners of the internet,’ Utah Governor Spencer Cox claimed.
Previous reports outlining the machinations of mass shooters and their inspirations describe discontent youth being ‘radicalized’ by extremists existing on the dark web and outside of general purveyors of monitors.
Cox added that the suspect had been radicalized ‘in a fairly short amount of time’.
DNA evidence links Tyler Robinson to crime scene according to FBI
A break in the case came after investigators found the alleged murder weapon, a high-powered hunting rifle, with ‘anti-fascist’ and trans ideation etchings on bullets in a wooded area near the university along with the FBI releasing photos of a young man dressed in a baseball cap and casual clothing thought to be the shooter.
The released images according to a recovered Discord group chat showed the Robinson allegedly making fun of killing Kirk and joking his ‘doppelgänger’ was trying to ‘get me in trouble,’ along with joking that he needed to ‘get rid of this manifesto and exact copy rifle’ that he had lying around.
It is thought that none of the discord group chat members were ever aware of a murder plot, with comments made that they ‘were shocked’ to find out that Robinson, their former high school friend was indeed the alleged gunman upon his arrests hours less than two days later.

Charlie Kirk assassin vowed to ‘take out’ conservative according to reconstructed note
It wasn’t until Thursday night that the alleged gunman turned himself in after being confronted by his father after recognizing released FBI photos of the alleged shooter earlier that day.
On Monday, Patel confirmed that DNA on a towel wrapped around a rifle found near the shooting site matched that of Robinson.
Investigators also have used DNA evidence to link Robinson with a screwdriver recovered from the rooftop where the fatal shot was fired, Patel added.
The FBI director told Fox News that Robinson had written in a note before the shooting that he had an opportunity to take out Kirk and was going to do it.
Investigators were able to recover the note’s contents after it had been destroyed, Patel said, paraphrasing from the note without revealing more details.
‘That note was written before the shooting. Evidence of its existence, we now have learned, existed before the shooting, was in the location, in the suspect and partner’s home. But we have since learned that the note, even though it has been destroyed, we have found forensic evidence of the note, and we have confirmed what that note says because of our aggressive interview posture at the FBI,’ Patel told the FOX show.
Official charges are expected to be filed against Robinson on Tuesday. If convicted, the 22 year old faces the death penalty.
