Dasha Nekrasova fired by talent agency Gersh over controversial decision to host far activist and Groyper leader, Nick Fuentes in latest installment of media backlash.
So much for free speech … Dasha Nekrasova, a social commentator who runs a popular podcast and who also doubles as a Hollywood actress (yes the genes are good kids) is out of a magic gig that promised to make her more wealthy and even more of a household name.
Nekrasova, 34, who is best known for her work in HBO’s Succession and A24’s Materialists, had recently been slated to co-star in Hollywood thriller, Iconoclast, only to be fired on Friday by the movie studio after chattering voices revealed she’d recently hosted a podcast interview last month with far-right political commentator Nick Fuentes.
Dasha was fired over this interview BTW 😭

Hollywood loses it mind when it finds out one of its rising stars got together with an outspoken political commentator
Nekrasova according to Deadline was in turn also let go by her talent agency ‘Gersh’ in part due to her controversial long-running political podcast show, Red Scare, but more specifically cause of a racy 2.5-hour interview (see full episode below) she conducted with Fuentes, who has a long laundry list of un-acceptable positions in the PC media world (more on that below).
Posted on YouTube a month ago, the interview took place as part of Nekrasova’s Red Scare podcast series which bills itself as a ‘cultural commentary’ platform which the actress has hosted with Anna Khachiyan since 2018.
According to Deadline, the episode was viewed 220K times (before being pulled off), touching on many controversial topics including, ‘international jewery’, the Holocaust and immigrants from developing countries, especially non-white ones (which presumably Fuentes is opposed to along with the Holocaust which he is known for downplaying as ‘it happened over 100 years ago, we’ve moved on!’). Dasha even dared to ask Nick why he believes what he does (remember journalism 101 …?) and whether he ever sees himself having a girlfriend (Nick’s response is a nice ‘white’ girl maybe, ‘who’s cool’).
Presumably in keeping with her penchant for ‘courting controversy whether as a ‘sailor hat wearing Bernie socialist free healthcare supporter’, or as a maybe Republican, Nekrasova sensing an opportunity to connect with Fuentes ‘Christian nationalists’ following and ‘America First’ advocates, threw her dice and had the far right agitator on.
Fool hardly or just naive, or brave(?) Dasha dived in, even if she (rightly) suspected the whole thing might lead to grief and egg on her face (keep in mind, Fuentes is already banned from YouTube, PayPal, Facebook – for hate speech – except X, where he was previously banned only to be redeemed by far right sympathizer & X’s new CEO and owner, Elon Musk. These days Fuentes boasts over 1.1 million followers on X).
Hollywood and ad dollars want to keep Dasha Nekrasova as the ‘nice girl next door’ that she’s not
The episode was originally broadcast in late October, only to cause the hair around sensitive nipples to fall off after word of the show started circulating in recent weeks.
Free press? Free speech? Right? Not so fast. It seems.
It wasn’t long before Hollywood came sniffing and decided showcasing the actress in their next high stakes project (the contract had yet to be officially signed) could lead to a loud dead thud at the ticket sales department. Never mind accusations that they would be giving their blessing to ‘far right activism,’ and many other of the views that Fuentes is alleged to have, ‘anti-feminist, misogynist, anti-black, anti-Israel, along with anti-Jew.’
In short probably not the sticker one puts on a fat free cereal box, with the caption, ‘three dollops a day helps keeps the Nazi’s at bay, along with strong healthy bones, boys and girls!’

Maybe it’s only ok to browbeat on certain people, ideas while other issues are off-limits?
Of course there is an answer for both Nekrasova and Fuentes. Keep carefully making the content you want to make. People are always free to join you and watch you. They’re also free to turn the channel off if they don’t like you anymore. If ever. While keeping in mind, if you cross some magic moral arbiter deep in their America’s hearts…don’t be surprised if the platforms, the studios, the agents, the ad vendors, the facilitators … throw you and the cereal box in the garbage …. and maybe your career too.
