Trinity Jamie Shockley, self identifying as transgender and Nikolas Cruz Parkland school mass shooter ‘biggest’ fan arrested plotting Valentine’s Day mass school shooting at Mooresville High School in Indiana. Teen had sought mental health treatment only to be preempted by her father, Timothy Shockley.
Indiana police have arrested an 18 year old teenage woman who they allege had planned a Valentine’s Day mass shooting at her school.
Trinity J. Shockley, 18, of Mooresville, was arrested earlier this week after cops uncovering a plot to shoot up the Mooresville High School, located southwest of Indianapolis, on February 14, authorities said.
Court documents stated Trinity identifying as transgender and going by the name Jamie.
According to court documents, someone called the FBI’s Sandy Hook Promise’s Say Something Anonymous Reporting System stating that their friend was planning a mass shooting at Mooresville High School on Feb. 14. The tipster said the suspect has access to an AR-15 and ordered a bulletproof vest.
Court documents stated Shockley sending the following messages to people on the social media platform Discord:
- “I’ve been planning this for a YEAR”
- “Parkland part two,” referring to the Florida school shooting carried out by Nikolas Cruz, who killed 14 students and three staff members on Feb. 14, 2018
- Photo of 10 AR-15 magazines
- “I’m buying a bulletproof vest.”
- “4 More days” — posted on Feb. 10, 2025
- “I have THIS staring at me,” along with a photo of Dylan Roof, who shot and killed nine people at a South Carolina church in June 2015
According to court documents, Shockley spoke with a school counselor on Feb. 11 just days before. Shockley allegedly told the counselor that she had written multiple letters to Cruz while he serving time in prison. Shockley also allegedly has a heart locket necklace with a photo of Cruz inside, 13News reported.
On Wednesday, Feb. 12, Mooresville police detectives, along with detectives from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Mooresville School Police, executed search warrants at Shockley’s home following the tip-off.

According to court documents, detectives found multiple photos of Roof, Cruz and Andrew Blaze – who killed three co-workers at a Pennsylvania supermarket in June 2017 – in Shockley’s bedroom.
Court documents say detectives found AR-15 magazines and a box of .40 caliber rounds in Shockley’s father’s bedroom.
Detectives said they also found three notebooks in Shockley’s backpack, along with the following excerpts:
- “I want to be just like Elliot Rodger” — who killed six people and injured more in California in May 2014
- “I want to hurt others.”
- “I hate you all DIE DIE DIE!!”
- “I miss Ethan (Crumbley). We were the same, born 2006, same eyes. Boom!” — who shot and killed four students at a Michigan high school in 2021
- “I want to hurt others.”
- “Becoming the worst version of myself hurts but this needs to be done.”
- “I love you Nikolas (Cruz).”
- “Why can’t Nikolas (Cruz) be mine? I need him in my life.”
During police questioning, Shockley said she was “joking” and “would never do that and does not have access to a gun.”
Shockley allegedly told the detective that Shockley “now wants to be a gun activist to help people get out of that mindset.”
Revealed court documents as filed by an interviewing detective: ‘Trinity’s motivation for making the plan is Cruz. She wanted to prove that she is his number one fan. Trinity has an emotional attachment to Cruz. Her message behind the plan is that she does not like people who think they are better than everyone else and people should value their everyday life. You never know and you could die at any minute. Trinity could see herself in court after executing her plan, but she did not like it. When she saw all the police officers, it hit her that she did not want this. She does not want to be escorted to a cop car after doing that. Trinity did not want to go to court and listen to all the stuff.’
Shockley was previously the center of a Mooresville community fundraiser after she was hit by a drunk driver while getting on a school bus in 2022.
According to court documents, Shockley claimed being bullied of the drunk driving hit.
Shockley is the daughter of a 19-year US military veteran and was left with head injuries and numerous broken bones after her 2022 accident, a GoFundMe set up by her family at the time stated.
She was unable to walk for days after the accident, which happened when she was just 15, Fox 59 reported. The driver, Michael Simpson, 35, committed suicide about a year later and before the criminal charges against him were resolved.
During police questioning, Shockley expressed guilt about Simpson’s suicide, saying that it was her fault he took his life.
But there’s more.
Shockley sought mental health resources multiple times since she was a freshman. However, school officials said Shockley’s father, Timothy Shockley, denied his daughter access to the resources, with the official saying Shockley’s father ‘did not believe in mental health treatment and did not take (Shockley’s) conditions seriously.’
Shockley is being held without bail after being charged with conspiracy to commit murder, threat to commit terrorism and conspiracy to commit intimidation, according to Fox 59.
If successful, the school mass shooting would have fallen on the seventh anniversary of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida., which claimed 17 lives in 2018.
‘She’s outgoing. She just wants to go, go, go. She’s always on the move,’ her aunt, Angela Altmeyer previously told FOX59 after being struck by a drunk driver, describing the injured girl as a loving and fun girl.
Altmeyer had said the father and daughter were ‘best friends.’
