A dossier of Clackamas Town Center gunman Jacob Tyler Roberts is now beginning to make itself revealed.
According to one workmate, Arianna Johnson who had worked alongside Roberts at a local late night sandwich shop Big Bertha’s before Roberts abruptly resigned this past November, Roberts had always been an easy going person, who worked well with others.
Said Arianna Johnson who had known Roberts for a total of 6 months:
“He was always just joking around with customers. I’ve never seen him act out of hand or poorly toward anyone.”
Relates oregonlive: ‘…he told co-workers that he had recently inherited money from a relative and that he planned to use that money to go to Hawaii, travel the islands and decide whether he wanted to move there permanently.’
Johnson said Roberts was supposed to fly out for Hawaii last Friday or Saturday but missed his flight.
“We were all kind of surprised,” she said about his plans to leave Portland. “He was leaving all of a sudden.”
Now the big question authorities must be wondering is if Roberts’ missing his flight is correlated to his frame of mind that sparked his chaotic rebuke against a town that he seemingly enjoyed living in? Which also raises another question why had Roberts intended to go to Hawaii in the first place and what had suddenly caused him to miss his flight?
Of note is the fact that over the summer Roberts and a woman had been evicted from an apartment they had been renting as well as it is understood that Roberts had recently ended a love affair (the same woman he lived with?) which according to one woman, Rosalie DeDore, a friend of Robert’s step father’s was another anticlimax to an escalating series of affairs and events that had ended badly for the young man.
Said DeDore: “After that, everything kind of fell apart for him.”
Since his eviction Roberts had been living with another couple at 7324 S.E. 84th Avenue.
