Hmm, talk about traditions going belly up live on television…
examiner: During an interview with the U.S. Women’s Olympic Rowing Team on the show which aired Thursday, August 16, 2012, it was mentioned that the team’s post-race tradition is to throw someone in the water. The show airs in New York City, prompting Lauer to joke that, “you throw her in the Hudson River.”
Then came Al Roker, proving the old saying that he who laughs last laughs best. At the end of the segment, Roker cracked that the tradition of tossing someone in the water.
But of course Al had something else on his mind, either consciously or sub consciously…
“is different than our tradition, which is you throw one of us under the bus, but that’s another story.” As the Olympians laughed awkwardly, both Lauer and Guthrie said through their teeth, “Mr. Roker!”
Mr Roker indeed! Hmm, looks like the play pen is beginning to get muddy and Al isn’t too thrilled with the good shit that Matt likes to whisper into our ears and in his own way is ruefully reminding us which way is up. Yikes kids, if I was Matt I’d be watching my back right now and if I was Savannah I’d be passing my resume to ABC on the sly. Then again what do I know office corporate back stabbing? According to Celebrity Pop, ratings for “Today” have declined since Ann Curry’s firing in June. And now Al Roker, another fan favorite of the morning show cast, has dared to challenge Matt Lauer on live TV. Will he be the next one looking for a job?
Matt looking for a new job? Hmm, that could be the shit coming back to haunt him. Never mind, nothing that a soothing cup of perfect chamomile would help Matt calm down right now or maybe it wont….
