SC: If a client is in a position to say that he or she must be a B client in return. I mean does Karl Lagerfield go out night after night? I don’t think so.
SCV: What’s your thought about some of the girls now entering the industry?
SC: I think they have to be alert and understand that there are a lot of beautiful girls trying to make it. It’s funny in the end I was taking a lot of them under my wing.
SCV: Isn’t that what a veteran does?
SC: Well, some of the girls need to be shown things, I was never one for being intimidated.
SCV: You spent the last 4 years in Paris. What were you doing there?
SC: Apart from modeling I was a literal rock star. I had been in two bands- the ‘Replicants,’ and ‘Love Magnet.’ I wrote a lot of the songs and performed them. So in a sense I was a real ‘rock star model.’ (she starts laughing).
SCV: So here you are now back in the States. What have you learned?
SC: How to navigate life. As a model you really are forced to learn a lot fast. It always surprises how much the kids in my class don’t really know relative to what I now know. I mean I can speak 4 languages, work as an art director, think and survive on my feet, put on a fashion production and have a big turn out.
SCV: So you’re now a big fish in a small pond?
SC: No I’m just a fish in a really small pond, but I like that. I need to kick back and think, deal with things like self sufficiency, electric grids, harvesting, you know the furthest things away from fashion. It’s about creating heaven on earth.
SCV: As opposed to giving the illusion of heaven.
SC: Yeah, I guess so.
SCV: Thank you.
