The Dandy set attend ‘Cleverly Clothed.’

An attempt to confer with Poull left me utterly frustrated as he was continuously surrounded by those luscious  girls who you often see in passing and never dare look in the eye. For the record I can assure you Poull did look them in the eye and for that I must forever put him in the league of scoundrels. Of course that word has little meaning until it is at once applied to our beloved Anthony Haden Guest who by now was aspiring to the mighty feat of seducing 3 women all at once. I believe he proffered that he was a writer of sorts but a ‘jack hound’ would have been equally an apt introduction.

Talking of jack hounds it was a special delight to also greet Ken Emerson – who by now if you all don’t know is loathe to consider himself a human being unless attending wondrous functions like this one. He proceeded to drink like a fish (didn’t we all) before Thomas DeJosia, Scallywag’s publicist saved me from a mild form of torture. From there it was a special greeting to Roy Kean and his entourage which (as always) included the most handsome set of young lads that should ever be allowed to trod the hallways of downtown (even if Roy lives uptown…). We all proceeded to laugh and misbehave to some degrees before I found myself being surrounded by more well wishers and the visage of the exceedingly beautiful Ms Radha Mimi who Patrick McMullen can never stop photographing…
