Three Texas sisters are accused of trying to kill their mother after she turned off the Wi-Fi at their Houston area home.
Authorities say the sisters, who are 14, 15 and 16, grabbed kitchen knives and chased their 39 year old mother through the house and into the street overnight Sunday, in an attempt to fatally stab the woman, KTRK reported.
One of the girls hit their mother with a brick, with the siblings’ grandmother knocked down trying to stop the attack, according to authorities. Nobody was seriously hurt.
Texas family known for consistent abuse and violence
The alleged assault is said to have happened at Barkers Crossing Avenue in Harris County, Houston, Texas after the siblings ‘plotting’ to kill their mother after she turned off the internet according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
‘The three siblings allegedly coordinated a plan to try and kill the mother,’ Gonzalez wrote on X.
A report via FOX26 told of disturbances frequently happening at the home.
‘They’re known for that around the neighbourhood. There’s always cops around the house,’ one local told the outlet.
Adding, ‘They’ve always been known as trouble in the neighborhood,’ while noting how unstable the family was.’
Not immediately clear was the whereabouts of the siblings’s father.
The girls were charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the Harris County juvenile detention center.
