Khristi Laxmiben, Staten Island woman, 87, stabbed to death by husband, Pitarbhai Khristi, 85, during argument at their Dongan Hills area home.
An 88 year old man is alleged to have fatally stabbed his 87 year old wife in front of horrified family members inside their Staten Island home Thursday night.
Khristi Laxmiben, was stabbed in the chest and transported by EMS to Staten Island University Hospital where she later died according to the NYPD.
Pitarbhai Khristi, the victim’s 85 year old husband was taken into custody and charged with murder. The octogenarian’s stabbing murder followed the husband and wife arguing and the husband grabbing a knife and plunging it into his wife’s chest.
The ‘domestic violence’ incident happened at 33A Carmel Court, in Dongan Hills around 11:30 p.m, the NYPD stated, PIX11 reported.
‘Horrified’ relatives who witnessed the slaying said the pair were having a dispute when it escalated and turned deadly, the nypost reported.
The fatal stabbing was the first murder recorded in the 122nd Precinct this year, according to NYPD crime stats. An investigation into the stabbing is ongoing.
