Sabina Rosas tangled love triangle with killer & fiancee: Ryder Iwata comes forward about his relationship with murder victim, Sabina Khorramdel, along with wierd vibes he got from her art benefactor, Thomas Gannon whom seemingly had other designs on his muse.
The fiancee of a murdered Brooklyn artist has spoken out about the way her ‘art benefactor’ and alleged killer ‘cowardly’ took his own life just hours after allegedly killing his long time love at a luxury spa hotel in the Hamptons.
Fashion designer Ryder Iwata said his lover Sabina Rosas‘ alleged killer Thomas Gannon, 56, may have forever left her loved ones with questions after turning the murder weapon on himself.
The man’s body was found just hours later with a self inflected gun shot wound at his on Hidden Brooke Drive in Honesdale, Pennsylvania.

Gannon and Rosas were seen checking into the Shou Sugi Ban House in Water Mill, together, with surveillance footage capturing Gannon leaving the luxury retreat on Monday afternoon, taking a taxi to the property in Pennsylvania, around a four-hour drive from Long Island, NBCNY reported.
Gannon fled the premises before a worker at the retreat found her body inside the guest room she had shared with her ‘art benefactor’ and presumed sugar daddy.
‘It was such a cowardly thing he did, such a cop out,’ Iwata told the dailymail. ‘It is shrouded in mystery why Sabina is no longer with us.’
Police say they are still investigating the woman’s ‘violent’ death, with Rosas’ family releasing a statement saying that Gannon’s suicide ‘has robbed us of the opportunity to find closure through the legal process.’
Iwata said he had been in a relationship with Rosas since they met as students at Purchase College in New York in 2016, and said they planned to get married as he described her as ‘my person.’
The exact nature of Rosas relationship with Gannon is unclear. Iwata said Gannon helped support her art career and even paid for an apartment in her native Tajikistan, but said Gannon would use this to ‘control’ her.

‘(Gannon’s) money suddenly became the control he would use to stay in her world and her orbit,’ the grieving man told the dailymail.
Of disconcert, Iwata conceded being aware that Sabina was in other relationships but they did not discuss it, and although he knew of Gannon’s existence he did not think Gannon knew she was engaged. This may ultimately may have led to the ‘benefactor’ acting out against his ‘muse’ who he supported and whom seemingly he had designs on.
To what degree had Sabina led her ‘benefactor’ on and why hadn’t Gannon simply called out on their ‘dynamic’ if he wasn’t getting what he sought? Had Sabina promised more than she was willing or able to deliver to her infatuated ‘sponsor’…?
Sabina’s former mentor and professor at Purchase College, Liz Phillips, told the dailymail that she understood Gannon ‘supplied her with money’ and ‘seemed to worship her imagination and various quests’, along with described their relationship as ‘romantic.’
Which is to also wonder, to what degree was Iwata aware of what may have been going on between Sabina and her alleged ‘benefactor’? Or had he simply chosen to stay quiet for fear of losing her? Had Sabina been playing both men… and had she taken on more than she could ultimately handle?
Iwata described Gannon as ‘very odd’ and ‘socially inept’, and said Sabina’s entire demeanor would change around him (do you suppose?).
A conflict of interests?
He said Gannon would fund Sabina’s artistic efforts as a ‘muse’ of sorts, and said Gannon was ‘head over heels’ for her but was often ‘very possessive.’
Iwata said that he knew Gannon as an art benefactor to Rosas, and although they only met once he was left with a strange vibe from the alleged killer.
He said Gannon helped move a piece of furniture into Iwata’s Brooklyn apartment last year, and found his behavior to be ‘weird.’
‘Sabina didn’t want me talking to him,’ Iwata continued. ‘She wasn’t acting like herself. She apologized for the weirdness and went back into the car… It felt bizarre to me.’
The budding artist’s death follows Sabina Khorramdel (as she is also known) being arrested in Miami last year for battery and is seen with a black eye on her mugshots.
It remained unclear who the alleged victim in that episode was.
Suffolk County cops had indicated prior to naming the suspect that they believed Rosas’ murder was a domestic violence incident, however the exact nature of Rosas and Gannon’s relationship is under debate.
