Most Played MMO Games and new online games to watch out for appealing to gamers online and growing internet communities. What should you be playing?

Do you remember the first time that you played an MMO (massively multiplayer online) game? Most people do. It was probably one of your most memorable gaming experiences, and it likely impacted the way you play games now. This article will talk about some of the best MMO games to give you a little nostalgia for old-school gameplay and introduce new ones that may be worth checking out.

World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft is an excellent choice if you’re looking to establish an online gaming community. It has always enjoyed the highest level of subscribers out of any game in this genre, and its second expansion pack released in 2009 propelled over 10 million players. The game is exclusively played through Blizzard’s Battle. Net servers, which brings many gamers together who would otherwise be playing on different platforms, so finding groups for quests or raids isn’t usually much trouble at all. The downside to WoW is that aside from basic character abilities, your skills are increased only by your equipment, so there isn’t room for individual customization. Also, many gamers find that their subscription fees don’t give them enough playtimes.

New World

A very popular MMO game is New World. It has been devolped by Amazon Games and the user base is increasing every month! Survival is the main goal of this game, you will have to hunt, craft or harvest. The currency used in the game is called new world coins or short nw coins. A very important fact about new coins is that you can learn new skills or get armor, weapons and food with them.

Lord of the Rings Online

If you’re looking for Tolkien-inspired MMO fun, then this may be just the one for you! LoTRO takes place in an open world during The Fellowship of the Ring and doesn’t limit players with class restrictions or levels. It’s available on several platforms and has an extensive crafting system that will keep you busy for hours on end. The only downside is that it can be pretty expensive to get into, but the high quality of the game makes it well worth the price.

Final Fantasy XI

Final Fantasy XI was Square Enix’s first MMO, and it took players to the world of Vana’diel, where they could create characters of varying races and classes. The game also allows for up to three character parties to solve quests or defeat enemies. This is an excellent choice if you’re into swordplay since there are over 20 different melee weapons that each has their unique properties. One downside is that the community can be very competitive at times, but if you’re looking for a challenge, it’s worth jumping in.

Runescape

Released in 2001, Runescape has been one of the longest-running MMOs on the market. It’s a browser-based game that doesn’t require downloads and can be played on almost any platform. This makes it an attractive choice for people who are short on time or want to play from anywhere. The downside is that the graphics haven’t aged well, and it can feel very gritty at times. However, with over 200 million registered users, it’s hard to deny the game’s popularity.

Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2 was released in 2012 to critical acclaim and boasted one of the most successful launches in MMO history. It’s a free-to-play game with no subscription fees that can be played on both PC and Mac. The game doesn’t require any downloads, and updates are automatically installed, so you never have to miss out on the action. There are five classes to choose from (with more planned), and each has its unique abilities and playstyle. The downside is that there is no true endgame, but the developers are continuously releasing new content to keep players interested.
