Constance Robertson, 25, of Washington, with the Port Barre High was charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

The incident was allegedly recorded on the student’s cell and shared with other students reported the Daily World.

Notice of the cellphone video led to the school ‘immediately’ calling police.

The Port Barre Police Department reportedly inspected the victim’s phone while executing a search warrant and recovered enough evidence to charge the educator.

KATC reported the illicit encounter occurring in a classroom on a pep rally day.

According the the St. Landry Parish School Board, Robertson had been working for the school system since May, 2017. Officials said the educator was no longer employed by the school district following her arrest.

‘There are no previously reported incidents involving this employee,’ the School Board said in a statement today. ‘She has been removed from working as a substitute teacher in St. Landry Parish Schools.’

The teacher, has reportedly told police that she thought the student was 18.

Not immediately clear was how the student’s age irrespectively ought to have made any matter in the teacher exercising discretion.

Told Port Barre Police Chief Deon Boudreaux, ‘We put out trust in the faculty of our schools, it’s a choice that she made and is going to have to live with.’

Boudreaux said the teacher was led outside of the classroom before cuffs were placed on her and the woman taken into custody.

‘We are currently working with law enforcement as it pertains to this incident and are unable to comment further as this is a personnel matter and is under investigation,’ said the St. Landry Parish School Board.

Not immediately clear is what led to the female teacher betraying her position of authority, power and trust to subjugate her male victim.

The educator remains in custody with no bail set.
