Hattiesburg, Mississippi teacher Nicole Jackson believed to have run off with 16 year old student, Oscar O’Neal II less than a month after being charged with sexual battery in suspected liaison with teen boy.
Hattiesburg, Mississippi police are on the lookout for a local school teacher who is thought to be on the run off with a 16 year old boy after she was arrested last month on charges of alleged sexual misconduct with the teen.
The notice comes after the teen, Oscar O’Neal II was reported missing by his mother early Monday morning circa 1am and thought to be with wanted 30 year old woman, Nicole Jackson.
The teacher and the teen’s disappearance follows follows the Forrest County School District teacher at the Earl Travillion Attendance Center being arrested and charged with sexual battery by a person in a position of trust or authority.
Upon turning herself to police on April 10 WMCA-TV reported Jackson resigning.
At the time of her arrest and resignation, Superintendent Brian Freeman communicated Jackson having worked with the Forrest County School District for several years without incident.
Oscar O’Neal II parents issue plea after their son goes missing in early morning hours:
‘If u see my son please contact me or my wife Lisa Oneal. We got the police involved his nickname is Lil Pooh but his real name is Oscar Oneal missing….,’ read a post Monday on a Facebook page purportedly belonging to the teen’s father.
Oscar is also believed to go by the nickname ‘Pooh Gotti’.
Another Facebook page believed to belong to Jackson says she is married. It remained unclear if the woman remained married.
While the age of consent in Mississippi is 16, state law prohibits a person in a position of authority, including a teacher, from engaging in sexual penetration with a person under the age of 18.
Hattiesburg police had been investigating Jackson since mid-March after they received a tip alleging the teacher having an inappropriate relationship with a student, according to WDAM. She was taken to the Forrest County Jail on April 10 and later released on $10,000 bond.
Police believe the pair could be in a dark blue Chevy Impala with the Mississippi license plate FRA-4454.
