Emmy Rossum anti semitic tweets: How the Shameless actress has come to receive a series of anti semitic taunts off the back of Donald Trump’s presidential win.
Actress Emmy Rossum the star of Showtime drama ‘Shameless’ has told of being trolled by Donald Trump supporters in which the entertainer received a series of anti semitic threats.
The actress whose mother is Jewish shared tweets she had received over the weekend at the hands of Donald Trump supporters.
Told the actress after Tuesday’s election results which saw Republican Presidential candidate, Donald Trump beat out Hillary Clinton: ‘I am a woman. I am Jewish. I am marrying an Arab American. My sister in law is handicapped. I’m a victim of sexual violence. It’s personal.’
From there, Rossum received a tweet from a user with a photo of train station bearing Trump’s name. The tweet notes a report via the nydailynews was soon deleted.
Responded Rossum: ‘Telling anyone to “get ready for the trains” in reference to WWII is disgusting & offensive. Reporting you to twitter is not enough. Back off.’

Told Emmy Possum in relation to other anti semitic tweets she also received: ‘Trump supporters are sending me messages threatening to send me & my “ilk” to the gas chambers & writing hashtags like “#sieg hiel”. NOT OK.”
Offered the actress to her more than 600K followers: ‘This doesn’t scare me. It doesn’t cause me nightmares. I find it sad to recognize that this kind of vicious underbelly was there all along.’
Yet to be understood is what action administrators at twitter have taken in relation to the anti semitic remarks.
