Mitchelle Blair the 36 year old Detroit mother accused of killing two of her children has told a Wayne County courtroom that not only is she guilty of her children’s murder, but they deserved it.

Appearing in court, the woman, pled guilty to killing her 13-year-old daughter Stoni Blair and 9-year-old son Stephen Berry.

Why did Mitchelle Blair, mother keep bodies of two children inside freezer?

Told the mother to presiding Judge Dana Hathaway: ‘I don’t regret none of this,’

‘I don’t feel no remorse for the death of those demons.’

The children’s death comes after their bodies were discovered in March, in a deep freezer at Blair’s home as the woman was being evicted.

In her defense, the mother claimed the two children sexually abused their younger brother, now 8 and that she had intentionally killed Stoni.

It’s thought that the mother killed her son Stephen in August 2012, whilst murdering her daughter Stoni the following May.

Blair will face a mandatory life in prison without parole term when she is sentenced next month.

An autopsy found that both died from multiple blunt trauma, whilst investigators found Stephen also had thermal injuries.

Asked whether she killed her daughter, Stoni, Blair replied: ‘She raped my son. I intentionally killed her.’

‘It wasn’t an accident?’ the judge asked.

‘No, not at all, and if I had the chance to do it again, I would,‘ Blair said.

As for Stephen, Blair said that his death was an accident, but that she would have been ‘proud’ had it been intentional.

She says that she choked both, and suffocated them by putting plastic bags over their heads until they lost consciousness.

Autopsies revealed both children to be malnourished, with the mother insisting she only starved her daughter, whilst feeding Stoni one bowl of oatmeal per day.

Today’s declaration comes after Blair had told in a hearing earlier this month, that she wanted to plead guilty to protect the 8-year-old son she says was abused.

When asked why Mitchelle Blair didn’t call police about the alleged sexual abuse, the mother said she was worried her other children would be taken away from her.

‘I don’t want him to see that I stood here like a coward,’ Blair said. ‘I did what I did and I did what I did for my baby, period. He’s going to see me standing up, taking my responsibility.’

Blair pleaded guilty to charges of charges of first-degree murder, torture and child abuse.

A judge initially refused to accept Blair’s plea deal, pending the results of a psychological competency evaluation.

According to Click On Detroit the mother told the judge she had confessed three times to torturing and murdering her son and daughter and would ‘happily’ serve a life term.

Reiterated the mother: ‘If you had the death penalty, I would take that. I don’t care. I’m not going to change my mind, I’m not changing anything. I don’t need the week to think about it.’

Stoni was strangled with a T-shirt and suffocated with a plastic bag nine months after Stephen was beaten to death

Her two surviving children, an 8-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter, have since been put in the care of a relative.

The fathers of the two surviving children are currently fighting for custody, despite not having seen them in the past two years with both men attended Monday’s hearing.

In court documents, Blair’s 17-year-old daughter described being beaten along with her surviving brother with an extension cord and piece of wood, along with a burned with a hot curling iron at the hands of their mother.

Medical exams revealed evidence of abuse, including numerous scars, on the surviving children.

Twenty-five scars were found on the back of the 8-year-old boy that were consistent with being hit by an extension cord.

Blair’s teenage daughter also described how her siblings were killed.

Told court statements quoting the 17 year old daughter: ‘Blair tortured Stephen for approximately two weeks prior to his death by tying a belt around his neck, throwing hot water on him while in the shower and putting a plastic bag over his head.’

On August 30, 2012, Blair allegedly beat her son to death.

After the killing, she wrapped his body in bed linen and put him in the freezer.

Nine months later, Blair became ‘enraged’ when Stoni said she didn’t like her surviving siblings and strangled the girl with a T-shirt and suffocated her with a plastic bag.
