The models were styled with slicked hair, either back or in front of their face. Many of them had rugged beards and long hair, and all of them had dirty faces. The women had a veil of eye shadow going from brow to cheekbone. Everyone wore shitkicking boots. That, I liked. The clothes were torn, rugged and layered. Long underwear featured heavily.

I think I described it best in my notes: “steampunk meets depressed woodsman…what the fuck is with the netting?” The netting grew on me as I began to see what niche this collection filled: hipsters will flock to buy the oversized sweater ponchos and torn, black skinny jeans. This is a young designer creating clothes for his group of friends.

Although the collection was primarily for men, I preferred his women’s clothing. “Lady Gaga meets deranged, Gothic hippy” were my exact words. I loved the jewelry and the ornate collars. I wish, though, he’d brought some of the woodsman feel to his women’s clothing. Ladies can be lumberjacks too, fellas. I hope very much that the intention was, in fact, to appear woodsy, not homeless.

  1. Celtic? Someone got a “d” in linguistics. Aside from your obvious ignorance of fashion, your poor writing schools are painful to experience. “Amateur hour” by Sarah Hartshorne.

  2. I thought it was a fun description even if missing the mark. I didnt go to the show, so I’m struggling to see where the vagabond look is anywhere here. From your photos I dont see any of the torn clothes you are talking about. Not a “scalawagally” torn outfit in sight to me. Oh, what do I know.

  3. This is this worst description of a runway show ever! You were lucky to even be let in. Get your information right- Celtic? The beauty of this collection was over your head, obviously. Like pearls before swine! Stop blogging about Fashion, you’re way out of your league!
