Once the fashion show came to a close, it was time to shmooze. Attendees crowded the rear of the store where Classic Golf Wine handed out plastic cups of deep red; I headed toward the center of the store where To-Tam and To-Nya Ton-Nu of Sachika were being photographed and handing out conversations. I was somehow able to get To-Nya’s attention for just long enough to grab one.

SCV: So, what inspired this collection?

TT: These are timeless pieces, day and night convertible. It’s for a modern style of living—a woman who’s busy, on the go with her career and dreams to accomplish.

SCV: Much like yourself?

TT: (laughing) Oh, yeah, exactly. And that’s why we picked golf—it represents the sophisticated, but enjoyable lifestyle, where you empower yourself. You take advantage of the power of now.

I then proceeded to exchanged contact info with her PR Tony Austin, the producer of the reality show in-the-making starring Sachika called “The Real Twins of New York.” The filming of this fashion show is to be included. The cast looks… fun. Another interesting character was a writer from Good Day New York of Fox TV, but she was rather preoccupied with complimented Rupert Murdock in the interest of a raise. Apparently, he’s a “brilliant man” and his wife is a philanthropist.

Upstairs, I ran into a picnic table kiosk of three lovely ladies serving sips of Seraphin VSOP, another sponsor of the event. It was smooth, just the way I  like it. By the time I finished my second “sip,” the crowd was heading out the door, en route the after part at Haven. I opted out; I was still worried about the sweat thing.
