Seminars, parties, contests and classes are only some of the events planned through June 30. (I’m personally looking forward to the June 21 cooking class.)
And the wine itself? They rightfully boast a wide array of complementary vintages for any discerning taste. Domaine Des 3 Valleesprovided a Grenache Gris, a sweet, light wine that sat like pale gold in the glass. An understated classic, it swam delicately over the palette. Cool on the lips, warm in the blood. Phenomenal.
The barge was packed with oenophiles enjoying each other’s company, fine food, and the music of The New York Brass Band. It was a night to remember, and an excellent kick-off to their event series. Yes, there will be ample opportunities for you to sample their wares at events spanning the city. The full schedule of events can be found here.
It’s getting properly hot—so find a friend and step out for some warm company and a cool aperitif. You’ll be glad you did.
