And so it continues- Darren Bettencourt insists his client Jill Zarin is not a Media Whore.

And then the publicist whose identity I have not disclosed decided to chime in.

See her note below:

Notice this sentence:

“We had many magazines who cooperated and wanted information and thought nothing wrong of it…”

Isn’t it a good idea when the media complies and does what it is told? Mmh? And that they thought nothing of it? How could they think anything wrong of it if it has how they make their living, at least in public?

Of course like you the reader I do think there is something wrong with it and belies a wonderful fabrication at the expense of proper content, the truth and staged pony shows to deflect us from what really counts, those individuals who are actually forging a real identity and being courageous in achieving something that is socially relevant. Standing and parading for dollars (because that is what it ultimately translates to thinks me) whether at one publicist’s behest or another is phony. And to think further that none of this was orchestrated with said media whore’s blessing or expectation is even more baloney, thinks me. BUT YOU CAN RE READ THE EMAILS IF YOU LIKE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF THAT THIS WAS ORCHESTRATED FOR A MAXIMUM MEDIA PONY SHOW. IN OTHER WORDS STAGED. FABRICATED. AND LACKING IN INTEGRITY. BUT AT LEAST DINNER WAS INCLUDED.

Which leads me to wonder how real is anything you read or watch on TV anymore, and what does that say about our collective value system, the freedom of press, of thought and our democracy? Think about that next time your spouse is shipped off to war or your pension taken away from you or your house is foreclosed on you, if it hasn’t already. But at least you can sit in your armchair and relax and be proud as Jill Zarin and the Countess finally arrive at their party and have a grand old time with you wishing you were there with them.

Pass the butter roll please Jill…

The dizzy and nasty rise of the NY Publicist…Welcome Alison Brod.
