If you’re not interested in the gay bar planned for the area near Ground Zero where the highly-controversial Park51 mosque is set to be built; never fear. There are plenty of strippers at the Pussycat Lounge and New York Dolls open for business, just around the corner.
The girls of the Pussycat Lounge and New York Dolls see no problem with the plans to build the mosque; and believe that the neighborhood that houses both an off-track betting facility and two strip joints is just going on with (sordid) business as usual.
Wall Street Journal: Not everyone engaged in weekday activities in the neighborhood agrees. Workers near the World Trade Center — including those working in the site — have expressed opposition to the proposed Islamic center. Some of the construction workers have even taken to wearing stickers and signs that demonstrate their opposition to the project, as the news website DNAinfo reported.
Chris, a dancer at the Pussycat Lounge who volunteered for the Red Cross after 9/11, the Park51 mosque going in is “all good.”
“They’re not building a mosque in the World Trade Center,” she pointed out. “It’s all good. You have your synagogues and your churches. And you have a mosque.”
So long as our president and the fine strippers of Manhattan believe that the mosque is “all good,” I think we can move on to worrying about another very important national issue. Who is going to maintain Heidi Montag’s new face now that she’s lost Dr. Ryan?
Now that’s tragedy.
