Robert Dorgan aka Roberta Esposito, trans hockey Rhode Island shooter was ostracized by his 6 kids prior to vendetta revenge shooting after years of toxic and abusive behavior leaving family members no choice but to distance themselves according to daughter from another marriage, Amanda Wallace-Hubbard.
The daughter of Rhode Island trans shooter, Robert Dorgan who gunned down his ex wife and his son, including critically injuring three other family members before taking his own life has claimed the parent was ostracized by his six children prior to transitioning to a woman.
While theories have emerged as to what sparked Dorgan (who also went by the name Roberta Esposito) to target his family during his youngest son’s high school ice hockey game, Dorgan’s daughter, from a previous marriage has dispelled assertions that her father was drawn to violence as a consequence of conflict with his gender identity.
Deeper symptom which affected dad his whole life according to daughter
Dorgan’s daughter, Amanda Wallace-Hubbard now claims that isn’t what sparked the tragic shooting according to a report via the New York Post.
Hubbard, 36, who had attended the game with her two sons and is the daughter from a previous marriage told the outlet, ‘Gender identity was not remotely a factor in him being ostracized from the family, at least on the part of myself or my siblings, it really was just a symptom of something that had been going on that was much deeper his entire adult life.’
The 36-year-old said her late father ‘struggled with demons’ and ‘alienated all his six of children due to a pervasive pattern of “toxic” behavior even before he started living as a woman.’
Despite his years of troubling behavior, his family kept giving him second chances, the daughter claimed only to continue to burn bridges. It was upon having children of her own Hubbard decided to distance herself from her own father.
Trans dad harbored vendetta against his own family
The daughter claims ‘trying for decades to look past her father’s dark side,’ but finally had enough after having children of her own in an effort to shield them from her dad’s volatile behavior.
She also said that her father had a ‘vendetta’ against his own family, something she believes is what drove him to pull the trigger that day.
Adding, ‘I just want to make sure people understand this was one person’s vendetta against their family.’
In the immediate moments after Monday afternoon’s shooting, Hubbard speaking to WCVB remarked, ‘My father was the shooter. He shot my family, and he’s dead now,’ while adding, ‘he has mental health issues and is ‘very sick.’

Trans dad ostracized by his own family over demons
The motive behind the deadly shooting remains under investigation, but authorities have stated it was ‘targeted’ and stemmed from a ‘family dispute.’
The dad according to investigators had pent up resentment following years of heated court disputes over his gender identity which had triggered his former wife, Rhonda Dorgan to file for divorce in 2020 after the father having gender reassignment surgery that year.
Along with his wife leaving him, his ex wife’s father threatened him with violence along with his own mother according to court documents reviewed by WPRI.
Just days before the shooting, Dorgan appeared to post ominous warnings on social media, including a clip of a woman running on a treadmill while loading ammunition magazines into a handgun and aiming.
In another post on X, a profile for ‘Roberta Dorgano’, he threatened to go ‘BERSERK’ while defending transgender Congresswoman Sarah McBride. The father of six complained that it was ‘insensitive’ comments deriding trans experiences that threatened trans people to resort to violence.
