An Austrian beauty influencer was found dead and stuffed inside a suitcase in a remote forest in neighboring Slovenia, after her ex-boyfriend allegedly strangled her.
Stefanie Pieper’s body was discovered in the wilderness on Friday, nearly a week after she went missing.
The 31-year-old vanished after returning home from a Christmas party on Nov. 23.

Pieper’s ex-boyfriend, also 31, allegedly confessed to strangling her and led police to where he dumped her body in the forest, Austrian outlet Kronen Zeitung reported.
The beauty influencer’s slaying comes just days after breaking up with her ‘on and off’ boyfriend, Peter M., a part-time security guard and unsuccessful poker player.
The social media influencer was reported missing by relatives and colleagues when she missed a scheduled photo shoot and ‘could not be reached’, according to Styrian State Police.
She had sent friends a WhatsApp message on Sunday saying she was home safe, but then reportedly sent another message expressing concern that someone had followed her to her stairwell according to local outlet, Oe24.
Neighbors allegedly heard an argument and saw Pieper’s ex-boyfriend in the building.

Her ex was arrested on Monday by the Slovenian State Police after his car caught fire outside a casino near the border with Austria according to a Nov. 26 release.
He was believed to have traveled by car to Slovenia many times prior to his arrest, according to Styrian State Police.
The man was extradited to Austria on Friday after allegedly leading police to his slain ex’s body.
The boyfriend’s father and brother have also been arrested.
Not immediately clear is what led to the ex targeting his former beauty influence girlfriend.
