Tanna Rae Wroblewski parents, Matthew and Alyssa Wroblewski may now face charges following the death of their 4 month old daughter who is believed to have succumbed to heat exhaustion after being taken to Lake Havasu amid a triple digit heat wave as social media lambasts the child’s mother and father for poor parenting and for being ‘selfish’ and ‘self indulgent’.

The parents of a 4 month old California newborn who fatally succumbed to heat exhaustion after being taken to a lake outing in Arizona amid 120 Fahrenheit degree heat are now being investigated by detectives.

Tanna Wroblewski passed away from suspected heat-related complications during a family outing on Lake Havasu, around three hours outside of Phoenix over the July 4th weekend.

Tanna’s parents face hate and scorn

The region has been baking in scorching temperatures and an extreme heat warning had been issued that day.

Mystery still surrounds the exact circumstances of Tanna’s death, with mom Alyssa Wroblewski previously posting she was struggling to make sense of the tragedy and how to tell the infant’s elder sibling that her sister had passed away.

Nevertheless the tragedy has since led to ire and rage amongst commentators on social media, some of whom have now accused Tanna’s parents of wanton negligence and putting their desire to have a ‘good time’ over the needs of their newborn daughter, who some argued was clearly never going to be able to deal with the unprecedented heatwave the region was experiencing the day her parents set out to Lake Havasu.

Lamented one commentator on social media‘No different than leaving a child in a hot car or taking a child hiking in the middle of summer. This was 100% preventable!’

Opined another: ‘It was not the heat it was neglect! They should be charged! I live in Vegas it got to 120 this last weekend warnings are everywhere! There’s no excuse for this other than 4th of July partying was more of a priority than their baby was!’

Wrote another, ‘100% the parents fault! ! Idc what anyone says they should be held accountable for their actions as horrible parents.’

Will Tanna’s parents be charged?

Posted another, ‘You shouldn’t be having children if you’re not responsible enough to know that extreme heat is deadly for both infants and adults. This was not some freak incident and could have easily been prevented. You deserve to be prosecuted for this.’

Police have since revealed they are now investigating whether Tanna’s death was the result of a crime. It remained unclear if the baby’s parents would now face any charges.

The couple were out on the water with Tanna and her sister on July 5th when she became unresponsive.

The family quickly started CPR on the infant before the Lake Havasu City Fire Department took over.

Tanna was taken to Havasu Regional Medical Center before she was airlifted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital where she later died, just days before she turned four-months-old.

Although her cause of death has not yet been released, officials believe it was brought on by a heat-related illness.

A sweltering heat wave has taken over the US, causing at least 28 people to perish from heat related conditions in the last week, the Washington Post reports.

On Wednesday, the tenth child this year died of heat exhaustion after being left in a hot car in Omaha, Nebraska.

The five-year-old was found unresponsive in the parking lot of a shopping plaza and could not be revived despite attempts at CPR.

Research shows that children’s bodies overheat up to five times faster than adults.
