Tanna Rae Wroblewski cause of death revealed as her parents, Matthew and Alyssa Wroblewski avoid charges after bringing the 4 month old to 120 Fahrenheit, record breaking heat-wave, Lake Havasu boating outing only for tragedy to strike.

The 4-month-old baby, who died after she was exposed to 120 Fahrenheit temperatures while aboard a boat with her family on Lake Havasu in Arizona last summer, died of complications of environmental heat exposure, medical examiners stated on Monday.

Tanna Rae Wroblewski‘s cause of death was released by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office on Monday, March 5, with the report stating the infant dying after losing consciousness at around 5 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024.

Tanna Rae’s death was ruled an accident caused by exposure to elevated environmental temperatures, which were estimated to be 120 degrees, per the medical examiner’s report. As a result of the environmental heat exposure, the baby suffered hemorrhagic shock, anoxic brain injury and dehydration, People Mag citing the Medical Examiner’s report, stated.

Tragedy that could’ve been averted?

Hemorrhagic shock is when ‘severe blood loss leads to inadequate oxygen delivery at the cellular level,’ according to the New England Journal of Medicine. The anoxic brain injury caused a cerebral edema. This means that the infant’s brain did not have oxygen, which then caused the brain to swell, People Mag stated.

The dehydration caused low fluid intake and output, flattened fontanelles (a baby’s skull soft spot), and a rapid drop in blood pressure that caused unconsciousness.

Before the Lake Havasu City Fire Department arrived at the scene, family members performed CPR on the infant, according to a since disbanded GoFundMe page created for the Wroblewski family. First responders then transported Tanna to Havasu Regional Medical Center, per the MCSO statement.

A relative performed CPR on the infant for five minutes before first responders arrived, per the medical examiner. The first responders also performed CPR before she was airlifted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Tanna’s ‘glamorous’ mother, Alyssa, along with the baby’s police officer father, Matthew, traveling from California, had come under intense criticism for having brought the newborn to the searing outdoor venture, with many criticizing the parents seeking to use the newborn as a ‘fashionable’ accessory and failing to exercise due diligence in insisting on bringing the infant to the extreme weather outing.

Reflected one commentator on social media, ‘Notice mom and dad have hats and sunglasses while the girls have no sun protection. I think mommy was more interested in showing off her post baby bikini body than her baby. Sick.’

Posted Alyssa in a tribute to her late daughter on Sunday, July 7, via Facebook from an account that has since been disabled.

‘Tanna Rae, our real life angel became an angel in heaven 💔😭 . We are beyond devastated, heartbroken, there are just no words. July 5, 2024 our precious girl gave us her last smiles and we gave her our last kisses. Please visit us baby girl 🦋🪻,’ she wrote at the time.

‘I will never understand why you had to leave us, you were just too perfect,’ she added. ‘I love you endlessly and I will look for you everywhere angel.’

The family had visited Lake Havasu numerous times since April with Tanna, who was born in March 2024, as family Facebook posts previously showed.

Contributions to the family’s GoFundMe reached $49,135 before the donation function was disabled.

Despite public outcry, no charges were ever brought against Tanna Rae’s parents.
