Jason Rogers, Underwood, Minnesota teacher, weighing 350 pounds, charged with malicious punishment of a child after stepping on sixth grade boy after student ‘refused to take directives seriously enough’ during a mock school drill.

At least the kid won’t give him shit anymore … A Minnesota teacher weighing 350 pounds is alleged to have stepped on a 6th grade student for a full ten seconds after the boy failing to take directives during a school lockdown drill in Otter Tail County last month.

Jason Lowell Rogers, 48, of Underwood, according to a criminal complaint filed on March11, admitted to standing on the boy’s back on February 10th after the student opting to lie on his stomach — instead of sitting down — as he had been requested to do during a drill at Underwood School the Star Tribune reported.

Underwood, MN teacher was upset that the students were not taking him seriously

The boy’s mother claims the incident led to her son being injured so badly that her 12 year old son was left walking around like an 80-year-old from the pain in his back,’ after the teacher elected to use her son as ‘stepping stool,’ according to a criminal complaint.

Authorities only became aware of the incident after the juvenile was taken to hospital.

The criminal complaint alleges the teacher standing on the boy’s back for roughly 10 seconds — causing the victim to cry out in pain.

‘[The child] did not know why Defendant did this because he did not hear him say anything about it and just stepped on him like he was a ‘stepping stool’,’ the criminal complaint stated.

‘He stated the entire class saw it and thought Defendant had broken [the boy’s] back.’

When questioned, Rogers — who acknowledged weighing roughly 350-400 pounds — admitted he did it because he didn’t think the students were taking the drill seriously.

The educator recalled asking the students to line up against a wall, then sit down near the door.

It’s then that Rogers observed multiple kids were lying on their stomachs ‘were not taking the drill seriously enough’ and that he had warned them he ‘could step on them in their current position.’

Rogers then allegedly put his foot on the injured student’s lower back and put his weight on him, the court documents stated.

After hearing the boy groan and say ‘ouch,’ Rogers told cops he asked the child if he was OK. Do you suppose?

The teacher allegedly also stepped on two other students during the drill, according to the complaint.

Rogers was charged with gross misdemeanor count of malicious punishment of a child.

The gross misdemeanor could lead to Rogers serving up to a year in jail and a $3,000 fine according to Bring me the News.

The educator has since been put on paid administrative leave as authorities continue to investigate, the Underwood Public Schools district said.

Rogers is scheduled for a court hearing for April 8.
