Veronica Roleen Gast, Fergus Falls, Minnesota woman rams her car into her boyfriend after arguing with her boyfriend all day. The couple at the time were on the way to couple’s therapy when the boyfriend decided that their relationship was unlikely to work out. 

At least she got it out of her system… A Fergus Falls, Minnesota woman is facing multiple charges after ramming her car into her boyfriend and striking him, moments after the man announcing he was breaking up with her. At the time the couple were on their way to couple’s therapy when the alleged violence took place.

Veronica Roleen Gast upon her arrest was booked with second-degree assault and criminal vehicular operation, along with bodily harm, gross negligence, and domestic assault.’

The incident happened Saturday noon when Gast drove with her boyfriend to a therapy session to work on their relationship. While in the car, the boyfriend decided to break up and asked Gast to take him home.

Instead, Gast allegedly stopped the car in the middle of the road and demanded he get out. The victim exited and walked in front of the vehicle, heading for the sidewalk. As he passed in front of the car, Gast locked eyes with the man, then accelerated, trying to run him over, according to a criminal affidavit. 

The boyfriend rolled over the hood, and smashed into the windshield, shattering it. The victim suffered a laceration to his right elbow, the affidavit stated, Fergus Now reported.

‘The defendant admitted that as she was pulling away, she hit the victim with her vehicle. The defendant said she slowed down and stopped to call the police. The defendant said she was in shock at hitting the victim, so she did not stop right away, but let off the gas,’ a police report said.

Gast during police questioning, insisted the windshield crack wasn’t caused by his body but by him punching it. Gast also denied ever having locked eyes with her victim before striking him.

Gast eventually conceded striking her boyfriend with the car, while claiming the ‘accident’  happened because she was upset and not paying attention.

The pair had been dating for about a year along with living together before their relationship coming to a dramatic end.
