Shawneesha Cobbs amazing fiasco at Applebee’s All You Eat buffet in Indiana sees Chicago woman arrested for disorderly conduct after insisting the $15.99 menu was inclusive for her whole party and not per person.
So much for All You Can Eat buffets… Case in point the case of 28 year old Chicago woman, Shawneesha Cobbs who was arrested earlier this month at an Applebee’s restaurant in Indiana earlier this month.
Cobbs, 28, was charged on August 2nd with disorderly conduct after becoming embroiled in an argument with restaurant workers after she was spotted sharing an appetizer with her entourage.
Cobbs who was dining with a man and several juveniles become entangled in a ‘loud’ argument with staff after the woman was observed sharing food with other members of her party.
So it’s not $15.99 for the whole table…?
Applebee’s recently brought back its popular All You Can Eat special for a limited time. For $15.99, guests can choose from all you can eat boneless wings, shrimp or riblets, with unlimited fries.
According to a Portage police report, the group were under the impression that if they ordered the $15.99 ‘All You Can Eat’ deal for one person, the order was good for the whole table. Do you suppose?
When the group was told that each person would have to pay $15.99 for the meal special, sh*t hit the fan. The group claimed the manager was unprofessional while insisting that nowhere on the menu did it say the $15.99 price was per person. Indeed!
According to an arrest report, Cobbs handed the menu to Portage police, who showed both Cobbs and another woman in the group that it said, “per person” on the menu.
But there was more to come. Carefully reach out for your forks and knife…
Why decline?
At that time, a couple was leaving the restaurant, with Cobbs pointing at them, stating that words had been previously exchanged between the couple and the group.
As the couple walked out the door, words were exchanged again, leading to Cobbs allegedly becoming very loud and disorderly.
Police warned Cobbs that she was being disorderly, with one of the women in her group attempting to calm her down. But to no avail.
Cobbs according to police resorted to being disruptive and arrested after failing repeated warnings to desist.
Cobbs was soon after escorted into a police squad (why decline…?) and taken to the Porter County Jail.
Of note, the group ended up covering the entire bill.
Shouldn’t you and your entourage head out for an ‘All You Can Eat’ Food Bonanza at your nearest AppleBee’s too…?
