Simeon Hendrickson, 61, was working on one of his guns at his home on Dalton Lane in Bollingbrook on Saturday afternoon when it accidentally discharged, with the bullet striking his wife, Laurie Hendrickson, 60, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

‘Simeon Hendrickson then took his own life with the handgun,’ police said.

It was unclear if Simeone called 911, or if one of his neighbors heard the gunfire and called for help, ABC 7 reported.
