Delta Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Atlanta nightmare as passengers feint amid sweltering temperatures and no working air conditioners as flight sat 3-4 hours on tarmac amid 111 Fahrenheit temperatures.
Summer flying mayhem has arrived … Several passengers on board a Delta Airlines plane had to be wheeled off along the tarmac after passing out amid extreme heat as flyers and attendants were forced to wait hours on board the craft without air conditioning as temperatures hovered around 111-115 Fahrenheit on Monday.
The flight destined from Las Vegas to Atlanta was taxiing at Harry Reid International Airport behind over a dozen other planes for a 1pm take-off when the pilot announced the plane had to turn around due to multiple emergencies, Fox News reported.
In the interluding three to four hours that followed, several passengers passed out, with some even soiling themselves — sending frenzied flight attendants running up and down aisles with oxygen tanks.
Fire under my seat
At least five people were wheeled off the plane on stretchers, with the pilot instructing passengers to ‘hit your call button if you’re having a medical emergency.’
Flight attendants also fell ill during the four hours the group was held on the hot, idling plane. At least one was wheeled off the plane on a stretcher while wearing an oxygen mask.
Passengers were given the option to disembark the plane but were told if they left, it could take days for them to be booked on another flight to Atlanta.
‘F**ked if I do. F**ked If I dont.’
While many chose to stay, temperatures remained high.
Temperatures at the Las Vegas airport skyrocketed to extremes on Monday and mainly fell between 111 and 115 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
After sitting in the hot aircraft for four hours, stretchers were brought onto the plane and passengers were ordered to head back into the airport.
While the flight was moved to take off at 7 a.m. Tuesday, passengers woke that morning only to find out that their flight had been canceled once again. Hooray! Welcome to the summer meltdown. With no air conditioning in sight. Or airline mercy.

Can any airline pilot explain why there was no A/C?

July shaping up to be hottest month ever recorded
Delta has since released a standard nonsense statement along with saying they were investigating Monday’s f**kery. .
‘We apologize for the experience our customers had on flight 555 from Las Vegas to Atlanta on July 17, which ultimately resulted in a flight cancellation,’ Delta stated. ‘Delta teams are looking into the circumstances that led to uncomfortable temperatures inside the cabin and we appreciate the efforts of our people and first responders at Harry Reid International.’
Passengers were eventually rebooked and compensated for their travel nightmare.
In July alone, multiple days have reached or broken the record for hottest world average temperature ever recorded.
