A Connecticut woman has been booked after biting off the tip of her ex’s middle finger — and posting videos on Facebook boasting of the assault, police said.
Anna Lindo, 34, of Bloomfield, was arrested after attacking her unidentified former love interest Sunday afternoon as the man walked near his home late Sunday in Hartford, Lt. Paul Cicero told the nypost.
Matters escalated as the pair struggled for control of a brick Lindo had been holding and threatening the man with, Cicero said. It was at this point during the ‘tussle’ when Lindo likely bit off the tip of his finger. Or used a sharp device.
‘At this point, we’re kind of surmising it was a bite since he kind of had her in a reverse bear hug — like back to chest — as he was trying to restrain her,’ Cicero said. ‘And then he felt a lot of pain and looked down and the fingertip was gone.’
But that was just the beginning.
‘This is what you get when you mess with me!’
Lindo posted at least two videos on Facebook depicting what she had done, police said.
‘She had the fingertip in her hands, kind of showing it off to the camera, saying, ‘This is what you get when you mess with me,’’ Cicero said.
Lindo upon her arrest was charged with first-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
The woman, who refused to be interviewed by detectives, was in a prior romantic relationship with the victim, who is married. Lindo is also accused of stalking her ex and his wife, Cicero said.
‘It was very brief, not too far from the victim’s home,’ the lieutenant said of the unprovoked attack.
The man’s finger was later found on the dashboard of a car Lindo was driving. Her mother called cops to report the discovery and the digit was taken to a hospital, but it could not be reattached, the Hartford Courant reports.
Lindo remained jailed on $75,000 bond as of Wednesday, online records show.
