Rebecca Gray- Perth Tinder scammer pleads guilty to three counts of fraud after duping three male victims in thousands of dollars.
A Perth, Australia woman who lied about having cancer has admitted to conning her victims out of thousands of dollars.
Appearing in court on Tuesday, Rebecca Gray, 32, pled guilty to taking advantage of three men she’d met through dating app, Tinder– telling each ‘match’ that she had cancer and that she needed their help.
The revelation of the ruse left one former boyfriend who dated Gray for18 months incredulous.
According to nine news, Sean Fry afforded Gray thousands of dollars to help her ‘get back on her feet’ while also raising her teen son.
It wasn’t until the man found out on the days he wasn’t seeing Gray- she was seeing someone else – who’d she also met through Tinder, that he called things off a year ago. That individual also revealed being duped by Gray’s scam and believing himself to be in an exclusive relationship as he too extended resources to the woman.
Explained Sean Fry, ‘I nursed her through terminal liver cancer, PTSD, a pregnancy and miscarriage – which I later found out were all lies’.

Rebecca Gray- Perth Tinder scammer targeting male victims with the promise of love:
Fry said during their time together, the woman had made him believe (or did he make himself believe?) that Gray was dying- with the man paying for the woman’s expenses along with some medical bills.
‘You don’t think someone who tells you they have cancer, doesn’t have cancer, you just wouldn’t think someone would do that,’ he said.
But it gets worse.
In another shock, Fry said he was confounded to see Gray fronting to court in a wheelchair- when the day before he’d seen the woman parlaying openly by foot. The burnt man expressed his belief that Gray was now intending to ‘play the court’ and extend sympathies with her upcoming sentencing at the end of the year.
‘Yesterday she was picking or dropping off her kid and she was fine, and today she rolls into court in a wheelchair, shaking,’ the man said.
Gray has pleaded guilty to three counts of fraud and is now awaiting sentencing.
