George Francis Alexander an American Airlines passenger has been charged with with battery and interference with aircraft operations after harassing an American Airlines flight attendant along with using a racial slur against the woman.
An 82 year old Florida man on board an American Airlines flight from Philadelphia to Ft Myers on Thursday has been arrested after allegedly harassing a flight attendant along with using a racial slur against the woman.
Calamity came as George Francis Alexander during the flight’s course began ‘poking’ the un-named flight attendant from behind as she was serving drinks.
At some point the man demanded the woman move, calling her a racial slur in the process reported The News-Press.
But it only got grimmer.
Upon the flight attendant asking the passenger, George Alexander to stop, Alexander began to taunt the flight attendant, with the man at one point saying, ‘You’re too big for this job; you’re too fat, overweight’.
Alexander was arrested by authorities at Southwest Florida International Airport and charged with battery and interference with aircraft operations.
He was booked in Lee County Jail on Friday but was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
He is scheduled to make a court appearance on June 26.
Alexander’s previous criminal record consisted of one traffic infraction for failure to stop at a steady red signal in December 2009 reported the dailymail.
Last week’s faux pas comes off the heels of unrelenting passenger lapses in flying etiquette, as seen in previous horror episodes below. Indeed.
