Carleen Turner Brock Turner mother comes out and pleads for sympathy for her son, never mentions victim once.

A letter written by Brock Turner’s mother Carleen Turner pleading for leniency prior to her son’s recent sentencing has also emerged, days after Brock Turner’s father, Dan had also profoundly expressed his pain and heart ache of the ‘real victim’ his son.

In her letter to Judge Aaron Persky, Carleen Turner similarly pulls on the heart strings as she laments the grief befallen her son while reminiscing about her son’s younger days when he (used) was a kind little boy.

Her letter continues to extol her son, Brock Turner as a model student and citizen while lamenting the misfortune that has struck her son. Never once does Carleen Turner acknowledge the misfortune befallen on Brock Turner’s 23 year old victim. Never once, for that matter, does Carleen Turner even mention or acknowledge the Stanford University woman her son raped in January 2015.

Writes in part the mother as cited by heavy: ‘My first thought upon wakening every morning is “this isn’t real, this can’t be real. Why him? Why HIM? WHY? WHY?’

From there, Carleen waxes on the effect of this awful, horrible, terrible, gut-wrenching, life-changing verdict’ on her family:

‘My once vibrant and happy boy is distraught, deeply depressed, terribly wounded, and filled with despair. His smile is gone forever-that beautiful grin is no more. … We are devastated beyond belief. My beautiful, happy family will never know happiness again.’

And then there’s the hardship and adversity of becoming an alpha member of society to contend with as well.

Notes abcCarleen Turner said she and her husband are a “working middle-class couple with Midwestern values” who had recently downsized their house to ease their financial burdens. Her two other children have collectively accumulated $150,000 in student loan debt, Carleen Turner said, because she and her husband were unable to pay for college tuition. Brock Turner had been awarded a 60 percent swimming scholarship by Stanford University prior to his expulsion over the sexual assault case.

In her concluding plea for mercy, she says Brock isn’t tough enough to survive prison and would be a ‘target’ for other inmates:

‘I beg of you, please don’t send him to jail/prison. Look at him. He won’t survive it. He will be damaged forever and I fear he would be a major target. Stanford boy, college kid, college athlete- all the publicity……..this would be a death sentence for him.’
