Amber Rayne dead: What led to a young woman in her prime unexpectedly dying in her sleep? Did uterine cancer she beat in 2013 resurface?
Adult entertainer Amber Rayne has been found dead at her Los Angeles home at age 31 after dying ‘peacefully’ in her sleep over the weekend.
The prolific actresses death comes after having been in the adult entertainment industry for over ten years where she made over 500 films.
To date authorities have told of not suspecting any foul play but nevertheless they are awaiting the results of an autopsy test to determine how exactly the woman died.
In an interview with CFM in 2013, she revealed she had struggled with uterine cancer and had undergone ‘relentless’ chemotherapy. Of question is if the actress had of late relapsed?
That said a report via the dailymail has told LA Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter telling a friend who was with the actress at the time reported that she had died from a ‘possible overdose’.
He said the exact cause of death may not be known until the autopsy is carried out or the results of the toxicology report come back, which could take up to six weeks.
What drug(s) Amber Rayne may have been using is yet to be necessarily understood.
Rayne is thought to have passed away either Saturday night or Sunday morning.
Told director Stormy Daniels via AVN: ‘She was a really good friend, and one of the best actresses and performers that I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with, and I’m just glad that I had the opportunity to work with her and call her a friend.’
Stormy revealed on Twitter that she was notified of Rayne’s death through the entertainer’s mother.
‘Her mother called me yesterday and told me. I’m helping her family make arrangements for the care of her horse,’ she tweeted.

A regard of Amber Rayne’s social media accounts didn’t indicate that anything was wrong. Many of her posts depict her love of horse riding and her devotion to her own horse.
Amber Rayne’s death comes months after being one of 10 women who accused fellow adult star James Deen of sexually assaulting them while on set.
The x-rated film star claimed that Deen had called her a b**** while filming a sex scene before he allegedly punched her in the face and being physical with her that allegedly left her bleeding.
At the time, the actor vehemently denied any wrongdoing, saying: ‘All of the accusations are from either ex-girlfriends or events that happened on set.
‘I always try to take responsibility for my actions and apologize when needed.’
Rayne claimed that she got over the attack and dismissed Deen’s behavior as that of a ‘young punk kid.’ She even developed a friendship with him after the shoot.
Of note, amid all the outpouring of grief from members of the adult industry on twitter, Deen has not acknowledged Rayne’s death on his own feed.
Originally from Detroit, Amber arrived in Los Angeles with a touring musical production with a BA in Theater Arts and a Minor in Art History from California State University-Los Angeles.
Rayne began to work in the adult industry during her early twenties from 2005, earning her awards for her performances including the XRCO Award for Unsung Siren and the AVN Award for Unsung Starlet of the Year in 2009.
Speaking in a 2007 interview, she said: ‘Aside from my career I’m still what could be considered the average everyday girl. Music is a rather large passion of mine and consumes a considerable amount of my time; whether it be dancing to it, playing my Les Paul, or hanging out listening to local bands music is usually involved.’
And then there were these reflections from Amber Rayne in 2013:
‘Aside from my career I’m still what could be considered the average everyday girl.
‘Music is a rather large passion of mine and consumes a considerable amount of my time; whether it be dancing to it, playing my Les Paul, or hanging out listening to local bands music is usually involved.
‘I am also a huge gamer (please translate as you will, but often it flat out means nerd), but I’ve found it works to my advantage as often times after a scene, the guys will challenge me to whatever games are on set that day.
‘I also find myself staying active through dance (jazz, hip hop, ballet), soccer, softball, swimming and running (yes I run nearly 5 miles a day…don’t believe me? Ask my dog lol she’s there) I have only recently decreased my activity mainly due to my struggles with uterine cancer and the relentless effects of chemo. (uh how to put this kindly…it sucks!! yeah that’ll do).’
