Sisters Kim and KhloeKardashian are hitting back at detractors who are now insisting that they be held accountable in the Quick Trim lawsuit which has come about as consumers seek $5 million damages pursuant to the FDA now coming out and saying that caffeine (the product’s main ingredient) is not an effective weight loss drug.
For their part, the sisters are claiming that they didn’t convince consumers to go out and buy the product but rather were merely the ‘pretty faces’ used by the outlet to push its wares.
At present the sisters point out that there is no law which holds spokespersons accountable for false advertising and that it should stay that way and that their names should be dropped from the lawsuit.
No mention of course of how much the sisters were paid to be the spokespersons for Quick Trim, then again one has to wonder despite the widespread disgust most of society has for these money grubbing sharks that a dangerous precedent could be set if spokespersons were now held liable for their client’s misrepresentations.
Of course it might help if the sisters took momentary pause before lending their names, faces, bodies and souls to every merchant charging their way to take advantage of the hysteria known as ‘if I’,m famous I can plug anything to the famous even if there is nothing about me particularly except for my 24/7 media appearances that should make me credible.’
Of course Joseph Goebbels, Adolf Hitler‘s chief propaganda officer said it best when he once said during the Nazi uprising in 1930’s Wehrmacht Germany; ‘repeat a lie often enough and eventually they will believe it.’
