Kids I want you to all take a good look at the above image and ask yourself does this piece, nimbly titled ‘L.A Fertility’ courtesy of contemporary sculptor Daniel Edwards do justice to our collective hero Kim Kardashian?
Unveiled yesterday at the LAB ART Gallery in Los Angeles this life sized gem is designed according to the artist to make us wonder about Kim in all her voluminous female beauty.
Told Edwards who sought to rebuke recent media criticism at Kim’s audacious weight gain:
“People tend to look at the parts, like the creases in her armpits, or how she wore a dress that makes her look like a killer whale. I’m stripping it of the details people get stuck on, so they can see the beauty.”
Went on to offer the artist who’s famed for having also created depictions of Britney Spears giving birth and Angelina Jolie nursing:
“I was inspired by the beauty of Kim Kardashian and felt quite put-off by the media’s criticism of her weight gain during pregnancy. Such criticism should be off limits.”
And Edwards may have a point, such criticism perhaps ought not be in the market place but then again what are we to think and wonder when a media saturated hero goes out of her way to detail every aspect of her life except those parts that don’t ideally play well into the script?
After all it’s one thing to show off our heroine in the buff, but isn’t Edwards only serving to emphasize that thing that he seeks to distance himself from, chiefly Kim Kardashian’s burgeioning weight gain and almost larger than life imperial status in society.
