Australian Hacker Behind Worldwide Twitter Porn Chaos

The originator of the hack that stopped the world from turning Tweeting for five hours this past week, and instead sent users to sites containing Japanese porno, has been revealed to be a 17-year old Aussie ‘schoolboy’ not even old enough to look at titties legally.

Australian News: [Pearce] Delphin, who lives with his parents in Melbourne, said he tweeted a piece of “mouseover” JavaScript code which brings up a pop-up window when the user hovers their cursor over the message.

But the idea was soon taken up by hackers who tweaked the code to redirect users to pornographic sites and create “worm” tweets that replicated every time they were read.

All seemed good in the post-apocalyptic online wasteland of endlessly retweetable submissive asian women until it hit that stereotypical land of the scheitze, vaguely Germanic sounding Europe.

Then, Scandinavian tweeter Magnus Holm decided to take  pornographic self-destruction to whole new level by adding a code – which we’re coining The Bieber Bug in honor of our hero – which allows the worm (how aptly named) to then retweet itself infinitely…

Delphin’s parents, who are apparently living either in the deep outback, in a wallabys pouch, or with some aboriginals under a rock, were still unaware of their son’s Earth-rending online revelation at the time of his interview… which attests to just what about this case should be so striking:  the two most influential people in the Twitter nation already overtaking all the world’s media output are both under 17 and don’t yet have any chest hair.

Imagine what could happen once this generation hits college and starts to discover social activism…
