Is Nancy Guthrie detained person of interest same armed masked man FBI released in video and images?
The person detained during a traffic stop is not being called a suspect at this time as the 84-year-old matriarch remains missing. It wasn’t immediately clear how Carlos came to be considered a person of interest. He was taken into custody the same day the FBI released images and video of an armed masked individual probing the doorway of Nancy’s $1 million Tucson home on the evening she disappeared.
At this time, he has NOT been directly tied to the physical kidnapping itself. His alleged involvement appears limited to the cryptocurrency aspect of the case. That could mean he acted as a middleman in handling digital payments, or believed he could profit from the situation. Authorities have not confirmed his alleged exact role.
In late developments social media shared that Carlos had been released early Wednesday.
Said the man after being released, ‘I didn’t even know who this woman (Nancy Guthrie) was, that he works as a delivery driver.’
‘They told me I was being detained for kidnapping. I asked them, “Kidnapping of who?”‘ the man told reporters outside his home.

‘They showed me a video to see if it was him, to see … if I recognize the things he was wearing, he doesn’t have any of that. He doesn’t have anything that comes in the video,’ the mother in law said.
