Police have swarmed to a residence in Sydney’s south west, believed to be the residence of one of the Bondi Beach mass shooters who shot and killed at least 12 and injured another 16 injured at the packed iconic beach.
Naveed Akram, 24, a Pakistani national and Sydney bricklayer was confirmed to be one of the two alleged shooters who opened fire on a Jewish Chanukah event shortly before 7pm on Sunday.

Witnesses said two men stepped out of a vehicle on Campbell Parade, near Bondi Pavilion, and opened fire about 6.40pm on Sunday with footage showing unrelenting gunfire along the tourist strip.
A festival, Chanukah by the Sea, advertised as a night of family fun, was taking place, with children attending the event when the gunmen opened fire.
At the time of Jewish festivities up to 2,000 Jewish people had come to light the first Hanukkah candle. Initial reports told of Rabbi Eli Shlanger as one of the fatal vicitms.
Police are currently raiding Akram’s Bonnyrigg home, with the street now cordoned off, newscom.au reported citing NSW police.

It is understood that Akram was shot, arrested and remains in custody, where he is being treated by emergency services. The other gunman was shot dead at the scene.
The alleged shooter’s family have reportedly owned the property for a year, according to the Daily Mail.
Bonnyrigg is in the heart of Sydney’s multicultural south west, with houses along the road adorned with flashing Christmas lights.
Several men ordered to move away from the area became aggressive, threatening to ‘break the handcuffs’ of a female officer.
A bomb disposal team are attending a vehicle on Campbell Parade in Bondi Beach, which authorities believed contained several improvised explosive devices.
