Bryan Kohberger sisters: Melissa & Amanda Kohberger lose their jobs: guilty by association

Bryan Kohberger sisters, Melissa and Amanda Kohberger lose their jobs in latest victims to alleged Idaho killer as the man’s family continues to suffer by association.

The woeful saga called the dizzying downfall of a once promising PhD student continues unabated with reports that the Idaho college suspect accused of murdering four college students as they slept claiming new loves – that of his immediate family.

In the aftermath of Bryan Kohberger’s arrest, the PhD students’ sisters have lost their jobs and are unable to locate new posts, this despite the 28 year old’s family ‘refusing to visit’ the accused killer in jail.

Kohberger is accused of stalking and brutally murdering four University of Idaho students at their off-campus home in Moscow last November.

Kohberger’s arrest for the killings has severely impacted his family, who are struggling financially, a source revealed to News Nation. Now, his sisters, Melissa and Amanda, based in Pennsylvania have been let go from their jobs because of their relationship with the accused killer.

Kohberger was arrested at his parents’ home in Pennsylvania after driving cross-country with his father after the murders of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison MogenEthan Chapin, and Xana Kernodle

Prosecutors have yet to reveal if they intend to seek the death penalty. He is due back in court on June 26 and is being held without bail until then.

In January, his family issued a statement that said they would be standing by him, adding: ‘We will love and support our son and brother.’

The statement was released just days after the former Washington State University criminology student was arrested and charged with four counts of murder in the first degree, as well as felony burglary.

Now, months later, Kohberger’s family are facing a multitude of troubles in the wake of the arrest.

His older sister Melissa Kohberger was a school counselor and his younger sister, Amanda Kohberger, was working as an actress.

Both have been let go from their jobs.

The family has reportedly not visited Kohberger in jail, but have spoken to him on the phone.

Kohberger, who was pursuing his PhD at nearby Washington State University before his arrest in January, is now back in Idaho where he is being kept in isolation far from other inmates given the depravity of his alleged crimes.

Kohberger has been locked up at the Latah County Jail since early January.

Kohberger is set to appear in court on June 26 for a pretrial hearing. To date the man’s lawyers have not entered a plea – but his lawyer in December said he was ‘eager to be exonerated.’ He is being held without bail until then. The world continues to watch on, gripped by the horror of the alleged crimes. Gripped by the downfall of a future rising star. And now his family.
