Peyton Hoyle, Clinton, Arkansas High School senior dies in Saturday morning crash as community mourns ‘cherished’ school girl amid tributes for teen.
The death of a teenage girl in Clinton, Arkansas has led to widespread mourning and tributes in honor of the 17-year-old who attended Clinton High School.
Peyton Hoyle unexpectedly passed away over the weekend, her school announced on Sunday, September 6.
The release described the high school senior as a cherished member of the school family.
Saturday morning crash
‘It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our beloved student, Peyton Hoyle,’ the school said according to Arkansas Radio.
The cause and manner of death was not revealed. Nevertheless in a Monday night update, a post shared on Facebook stated, Peyton Hoyle, ‘life being taken in a crash Saturday morning.’
Continued the post: ‘Her brother, Dalton, said Peyton was not only his sister but an irreplaceable part of his heart. He will forever treasure their laughter, memories, and every moment they shared. Although he wishes they had been given more time together, he promised to carry her memory with him every day and said, “I’ll miss you forever.”
The post didn’t divulge further details on what led up to the crash.
School officials said the loss is being deeply felt by students, staff members and the entire community. The school extended its condolences to Peyton’s family, friends, classmates, teachers and everyone who loved her.
‘Our hearts are with Peyton’s family and friends as they navigate this unimaginable loss,’ the school said according to KARK.
Candlelight vigil amid counseling and other support services
Clinton High School said information about counseling and other support services will be provided to students and staff as the school community begins grieving together.
School leaders said they want to ensure members of the school family have access to the care and support they need during this difficult time.
A service honoring Peyton will be held Tuesday, September 8, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. inside the Clinton High School Auditorium.
A candlelight vigil will follow from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Clinton High School parking lot.
The community is encouraged to keep Peyton’s family, friends, classmates, teachers and everyone who loved her in their thoughts and prayers.
