An illegal migrant is alleged to have beaten his 2-month-old daughter to death because he didn’t believe the baby was his according to Long Island police.

Marlon Rabanales-Pretzantzin, 20, allegedly slapped Liseyda Rabanales-Barrios in the face, punched her in the stomach and violently shook her inside his Inwood home on March 7, according to a criminal complaint.

The 20 year old is alleged to have then thrown the infant girl on a bed and punched her in the chest.

The child suffered injuries to her ribcage and a fractured vertebrae in the neck along with other broken bones and abrasions.

Come Wednesday, the young father was charged with second degree murder after he admitted to killing the helpless girl, News 12 Long Island reported.

Rabanales-Pretzantin — a Guatemalan migrant who crossed the border illegally in 2022 — told police that ‘although he is listed as the father on the birth certificate, he suspects that he is not the father so he lost affection for the baby and felt some kind of animosity,’ Nassau County Detective Lieutenant Scott Skrynecki told the nypost.

‘He admitted to us what had happened with the baby, how he abused it physically, how he felt the child wasn’t his and how he did not respect or want that child,’ Fitzpatrick said during a Wednesday press conference. ‘He hit the child several times around the head and face. He threw the child on the ground.’

Cops said Rabanales-Pretzantzin made his way across the Mexico-El Paso, Texas border in 2022.

He was apprehended by Border Patrol and released for a future immigration hearing. Rabanales-Pretzantzin then traveled to Virginia before arriving in Nassau County.

Notice of the assault came after a 911 call was placed on the morning of March 7th about the baby ‘rolling off the bed’ inside the home near Maple Road and Elm Road around 10:40 a.m., cops said.

The victim was transported to a hospital and later transferred to a different hospital, where she died.

An autopsy revealed the 2 month old’s cause of death, the result of a homicide, leading police to question Rabanales-Pretzantzin who allegedly then admitting beating the girl cause he did not believe she was his.

Police said the 20 year old admitted he did ‘not respect or want the child.’

Officials determined Rabanales-Pretzantzin lived at the home with the 20-year-old mother of his children.

A 1-year-old boy was also removed from the home and transported to a hospital for evaluation for any injuries.

Investigators believe the mother was not involved in the abuse of the children.

Not immediately clear is how the family was supporting itself, if at all.

The child’s death comes after the baby girl being born thirty minutes into January 1 at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, with the child’s birth marking the first birth for the hospital for the new year, NBC4 reported.

‘This man should never have had a kid, and what he did to this kid is unthinkable,’ said Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder.

The illegal immigrant who pleaded not guilty during his arraignment on Thursday at a Nassau County, remained held without bail.

“He did share some things with me and I’m going to follow up on them, as I must. He’s extremely young, he’s 20 years old but obviously today we’re very, very sorry for the loss of a child,” his attorney said according to Eyewitness News.

The dad is slated to next appear in court on March 17 in Hempstead.
